Freshly refurbished Massi Master Compact. XS or Small (44cm) alloy frame with Massi carbon forks. Triple chainset and Shimano 2300 gearset. New chain, bottom bracket stem, brakes and cables. Tyres are hardly used.

The left seat stay has chips on it as I have tried to show in the pictures (looks ok at a glance) hence price.

Dolan Dual - 52cm - £550 - *SOLD*

 photo 20141129_143348_zpsab00dabc.jpg

Fresh out of the stand is this full carbon Dolan Dual with Shimano Tiagra groupset.
...
Unusually for a carbon bike this frame has mudguard fittings making it a great all year round ride.

All in real nice condition plus it has new Tiagra compact chainset, Tektro brakes, Selle Italia saddle and wheels (Claris hubs on Omega rims). Most other parts have only seen little use.

Bianchi Campione Del Mondo - £675 *SOLD*

 photo SAM_6154.jpg

Lovely Bianchi Campione Del Mondo - Reparto Corse

Size: 58cm x 57.5cm (ct x cc)

Built from Columbus Genius tubing in a lugless configuration. Other than a few blemishes to the paint, nothing that detracts from the overall look it is straight and true with no dents. The frame is of the quality you would expect from this renown Italian builder and I especially like the rear cable routed through the chainstay.

It features a full Campagnolo Chorus (2nd Gen) groupset (front hub is older record). FIR rims. Flite saddle. Cinelli bars and stem. New Cinelli tape, Campagnolo cables, KMC chain and Michelin Dynamic Classic tyres.

Please click this Photobucket album link to see all of the detail and features of this beautiful bike (paint blemishes have also been pictured). I will also point out the  heel rub on the chainset.

In summary; a lovely Italian classic with all the right bits!

Specialized S-Works Tarmac SL - £1000 *SOLD*

 photo SAM_6092.jpg

Very nice 2009 Specialized S-Works Tarmac SL. Built with Shimano Ultegra 6600 SL groupset and Specialized Fact carbon chainset. Mavic Aksium wheels and Mavic Aksion tyres are new and unused.

Size is medium 54cm.

Absolutely stunning condition, only ever used in fine weather. This is a very capable machine, weighing in at just 7.1kg (15.42lbs) (without pedals) it is light, fast and responsive whilst remaining comfortable. It is not hard to see why these bikes have an outstanding reputation amongst serious road riders.

Click on this PhotoBucket album link for more pictures

(Note: This bike is sold on behalf of a customer. It has not been built or by us and the standard Stallion Cycle warranty does not apply. However the bike has been checked over and meets our standard of quality and finish)

Klein Pulse Race - £350 *SOLD*

 photo SAM_6071.jpg

This is a stunning 18" Klein Pulse Race in superb original condition.

The paint is flamboyant orange and once in the sun really glimmers, it's very eye catching and very hard to catch on camera. There are just a few blemishes to the paint under the top tube from a cycle rack, apart from that it is near perfect, even under the downtube.

Spec is almost completely original as per this link: BikePedia - 1998 Klein Pulse Race

The bike is very light and rides beautifully.

Giant OCR - £225 *SOLD*

SOLD INSTORE

Moser Pro Evolution - £600 *SOLD*

 photo SAM_5713.jpg

Stunning Moser Pro Evolution with full Campagnolo Chorus groupset.

Size is 56cm x 55cm (ct x cc) (seat tube cc is 54.4cm)

The frame is built from deda acciaio 18 mcd v6 which is one of their best framesets, some compare it to Reynolds 753 from my research. It's a beautiful ride that's for sure.

Paint wise it does have some blemishes mainly to the top tube as pictured and where the paint meets the chrome on the rear triangle it has lost it's sharp line but none of this detracts from the overall look at all, just adds a nice bit of patina. I particularly like the Campagnolo logo on the dropouts, I've not seen that before....

Groupset is Chorus throughout including headset and seatpost. All in very nice condition with only a few signs of wear. It does have odd skewers though.

New chain, cables, tape and tyres (Vittoria Diamante Pro!) the bike has been completely stripped, cleaned and rebuilt.

Trek 1200SL - £285 *SOLD*

 photo SAM_4974.jpg

Size is 54cm

Nice alround racing bike from Trek in the form of this 1200SL.

Condition is very good with just a few marks here and there as you would expect a used bike to have.

This bike is nicely equipped with Shimano Tiagra 9 speed gearset with an uprated Shimano 105 rear mech. Tiagra extends to the hubs too which is a nice quality touch (I would expect generic un-named  hubs at this level). There is a slight tear to the back of the saddle.

A good mid entry road bike with the benefit of mudguard eyelets to allow for all year round use; why have two bikes when one will do it all?!

Koga Miyata GentsRacer - £245 *SOLD*

Size is 56cm x 55cm (centre to top x centre to centre)

I have this stunning Koga Miyata Gents Racer up for grabs.

It is built from Tange Champion tubing and is in lovely condition. The frame does have a few marks as you'd expect, the worst being on the drive side seat stay where the paint has been scratched away revealing the chroming underneath. It doesn't stand out as you can see in the pictures.

The groupset is mainly Shimano 600 arabesque and AX. Many parts have been polished to a very high standard including the chainset, headset, seatpost and pedals, it looks great! All other parts are in very good condition too. Worth noting the Shimano 600 seatpost and beautiful 600 stem (could do with a new top cap)

The wheels are Mavic 501 hubs on Mavic Gel 280 tubular rims with hardly used Vittoria Competition Rally tubs, the front wheel is tied and soldered too. Nothing beats the ride of tubs this excellent wheelset really livens up the bike. I'm confident that after riding with these you'll be a convert!

Koga Miyata Pro - £530 *SOLD*

Size is 58cm x 57cm (centre to top x centre to centre)

This is a very special Koga! One of the most interesting frames I have seen bar none. The frame is Koga's FM1 which is the top of the range furthermore it has a wishbone seat stay, interestingly shaped top and down tubes and spiralling on the outside of the seat tube. It is something special for sure.

The frame is in excellent condition with just a few blemishes to the blue and black paintwork only points that are note worthy are a small scratch on the wishbone (probably from a saddle bag rubbing) and the black on the bottom of the forks has a few scratches showing the blue underneath.

The groupset is full Dura Ace 7410 STI, which would have been the choice of the professional teams back in the day. Looks and performs fantastic, one of my favourite groupsets. Dura Ace SPD pedals are included, Rolls Titanio (titanium railed) saddle, Michelin folding tyres, Mavic CXP30 rims. It's just perfect!

This bike looks and performs great. It really is very special and is going to make someone very happy!

Frame: Koga Miyata FM1 Steel, shaped down and top tube,
spiralling on seat tube, wishbone seat stays.
Fork: Koga Miyata Alloy

Peugeot 653 Ultima - £230 *SOLD*

Size is: 56cm x 55cm (centre to top x centre to centre)

I've been using this Peugeot Ultima myself for a good few months now and really love the way it rides. However its time for a change so I'm putiing it up for sale.

Built from Reynolds 653 tubing it rides great; light and responsive. There are no dents or dings but the paint is a little tatty and some of the chrome has little speckles of rust.

Groupset is Shimano 600 Ultegra 7 speed with downtube shifters. All working well and good although the brakes are showing their age a bit now.

As far as I'm aware this is original spec apart from the Cinelli bars and 1A stem other than that it's just the Michelin Dynamic Classic tyres which although not original certainly look the part.

Notes on clean up:
There is a small crack on the headset (doesn't effect performance)
Chain will need replacing soon
Chainwheels and brake blocks would benefit from replacement although fine for a fair few miles yet.

These points are reflected in the price of this collectable retro classic.

Frame: Peugeot Ultima in Reynolds 653
Fork: Reynolds 653

Koga Miyata Gents Racer (Alloy) - £350 *SOLD*

Photobucket

Size is 58cm x 57cm (ct x cc)

What a stunner I have here for you! It's an Alloy Koga Miyata GentsRacer built much in the vain of the Raleigh Dyna-Tech's or Giant Cadex of the same era.

The frame has a beautiful wishbone seat stay which I absolutely love and the paint leaves the rear triangle and lower part of the forks bare giving a very traditional look. It really is a stunner, even more so in real life than my dodgy pictures.

There are a few blemishes to the paintwork here and there but nothing too bad to mention.

The groupset is Shimano 600 Ultegra 8 speed STI, with the exception of a 105sc front mech. Rims are very distinctive polished Rigida DP18 giving extra 'Wow!' factor (imo anyway).

Unfortunately due to an imminent move I do not have time to give it a full service and clean to my usual high standard however it is clean by most peoples standards and everything works as it should. You can confidently get on this bike and take the ride of your life....

As mentioned above I have really struggled to capture the beauty of this bike and have tried to do so on various attempts, please follow the links below to view other pictures although in all honesty none of them do this bike justice:

Frame: Koga Miyata GentsRacer Alloy
Fork: Koga Miyata Alloy

Seatpost: Selcof Aero (?)

Batavus Professional - £260 *SOLD*

Size is 58cm x 56cm (centre to top x centre to centre)

This is a lovely Batavus Professional bike built from Columbus tubing. It predates when they put which tube set is used on the graphics so I think that makes it equivalent to Columbus SL. It's light and responsive, rides fantastic!

This is a high quality frame with Campagnolo dropouts, cut out bb shell and Bocama long point lugs. Oh and the forks have that beautiful Batavus profile which I can never capture on the pictures.

The red, white and grey paint is in good condition with just the drive side seat stay having had some touching up.

The groupset is Shimano 600 Ultegra 7 speed with the addition of Shimano RSX 7 speed STI shifters. All in all the components work very well.

Unfortunately due to an imminent move I do not have time to give it a full service and clean to my usual high standard however it is reasonably clean and everything works as it should. You can confidentally get on this bike and take the ride of your life

Frame: Batavus Professional - Columbus Tubing

Viking Vision - £160  *SOLD*

Photobucket

Lovely quality English bike from the days when Viking made nice bikes. This has a Reynolds 531 main frame which is in nice condition with just an odd blemish here and there but none that are note worthy.

The groupset is mainly Shimano 105 Golden Arrow apart from the brakes which are Weinmann. The wheels have been upgraded at some time in its life to Shimano 600 hubs on Mavic MA2 rims, a great combination! (Please note: fork spacing is 95mm, hub is 100mm so needs to be sprung slightly, obviously not a problem).

This is a great buy for someone looking to get into Great British retro racing bikes without having to pay out a fortune.

Size: 60cm x 57cm (ct x cc)

This is a rather special Gazelle, it's a Goldline De-Max in Reynolds 531 'Trapezi' tube set which I believe was produced exclusively for Gazelle. It is tapered like Columbus Max tubing looks lovely in the flesh. This example is semi-lugless and in a compact style. It's very unique I've not seen another like it and can't find any others either.

The 531 frame is complemented with Gazelle Goldline Carbon ahead forks.

Paint is pearl white with green and yellow. It has a few minor scratches but is generally very good, no dents and all straight.

Groupset is mainly Campagnolo Veloce 8 speed with the exception of the Athena rear mech and chainset. All in good condition and looking great including the lovely monoplanar brakes.

Also want to highlight the Campagnolo Sydney 2000 rims which complete the set up. Few marks here and there but no dents and run true.

Duell Palermo - Single Speed conversion - £180 *SOLD*

Photobucket

Duell is a high end builder in Holland, their frames are extremely good quality with excellent detail and finish. This frame is no exception, it's lovely! It lacks it's Columbus tubing sticker now but research tells me that the Palermo was built from Columbus CroMor.

Only the paint lets this example down as it has some serious scratches on it hence why I built it as a single speed rather than with the high end Campagnolo groupset that it deserves. However despite it not being the out and out (retro) racing bike that it once was in it's current guise it works extremely well; a no fuss, simple, light machine to get you from A to B.
The build is of good quality despite the lack of Campagnolo or Shimano components.
Despite the scratches the paint is a lovely blue and still looks very nice. Overall a nice, interesting high quality bike use it as a Town bike, Hack or rolling project could also easily be converted to fixed just by changing the rear wheel.

Vagacini Columbus Racing - £400 *SOLD*

Photobucket

For sale is this rather rare Vagacini Columbus Racing. Vagacini has loose connections to Colnago, facts seem hard to come by but some say Vagacini builds for Colnago. This is certainly a well built bike so there could be some truth in that.

This is a superb example in near new condition. There is barely a blemish on the Columbus Aelle frame with it's distinctive carbon look and green splatter paint job and the rare Suntour SL groupset (very nice!) looks unused. Suntour SL sat just below the Suntour Superbe Groupset back in the day putting it on par with Shimano's 600 Ultegra group or Campagnolo's Athena.

All in all a lovely unique Italian ride.

Gazelle Goldline - £430 *SOLD*

Photobucket

This Gazelle Goldline, as well as being a superb spec, is the most spotless example that I have seen. There is not a mark on it, not the slightest blemish (other than where the wheels have been clamped into the dropout). The blue and yellow is lovely and the pantographing finishes it off perfectly. Tubing is 531 Competition.

The groupset is a complete Shimano Ultegra 9 speed which is in equally great condition with just minor signs of use.

A rare opportunity to own such a fine machine in such great condition. The price of the complete bike is less than the price of an equivalent new frame only, yet is not far off being NOS.

Very nice Koga Miyata Gents Racer Carbolite featuring carbon main frame & headtube bonded with alloy lugs, alloy stays  and forks..

Frame is in nice condition although does have a few marks here and there, the only one of note though is the laquer peeling around the top tube guides. The alloy is a lovely black with gold dust effect which looks very nice.

Groupset is Shimano 600 Ultegra 8 speed with 105sc downtube shifters (the shifter cover is cracked and held together tidily with tape, works fine).

Giant TCR - Early model - £500 *SOLD*

Photobucket

Early example of a Giant TCR. Always wanted one of these due to Mike Burrows (designer of Chris Boardmans Olympic winning bike)  heavy involvement of their development, as far as I know the Giant TCR is the bike that introduced compact frame geometry. I believe that Mike also developed the adjustable stem, aero carbon seatpost and aero wheels with carbon hubs and carbon core aero spokes. As far as modern bike design goes it was quite radical in my opinion.

Anyway this is a very nice purple anodised version (Triathlon) which is in very good condition with only a few blemishes in the anodising letting the side down (looks worse in the pictures than in reality).

Groupset is complete Shimano Ultegra 6500 9 speed.

Lovely bike aleady a modern classic.

Ambrosio Stelvio Carbon - £495 *SOLD*

Lovely Ambrosio full carbon bike with a Campagnolo Veloce 9 speed ergo groupset and Khamsin wheels.

Frame reminds me very much of a Trek OCLV. It has a lovely paint job which is in really good shape with just a few scratches here and there mainly due to cable rub.

Groupset is full Campagnolo Veloce 9 speed and is in great shape too, as are the Khmasin wheels.

Includes an SLR 165g saddle too.

Gazelle Trim Trophy - £250 *SOLD*

Gazelle Trim Trophy, 531 frame, with full Shimano 600 Ultegra 7 speed groupset and hardly used Wolber TX wheels.

This bike is in lovely condition, the groupset has got to be the best used example of 600 Ultegra that I have seen, very nice. (Front mech is 600EX)

The frame is 531 and is in equally good condition although does have a few marks here and there but nothing worthy of mentioning.

Great bike in great nick.

Guerciotti Record - £650 *SOLD*

Photobucket

Stunning Guecrciotti Record made from Columbus Thron tubing in faultless black paint with white finishing kit, absolutely spot on build looks fantastic. The bike is practically unused you will be very hard pushed to find a blemish. The paint is rich and deep with a shine that reflects, really needs to be seen to be appreciated.

Groupset is complete Campagnolo Veloce 10 speed again practically spotless. Not sure on the rims they remind me of Mavic CXP 30 but are clearly as new as the rest of the bike so cannot be sure. As with the rest of the bike though they are bloody lovely!

Only exceptions to the Campagnolo kit are Dura Ace headset and Shimano 600 highly polished aero seatpost

Batavus Professional - £250 *SOLD*

Photobucket

Very nice looking Batavus Professional with Columbus SLX tubing. Cinelli aero bottom bracket shell, pantographing, Campag ends and those lovely shaped Batavus forks.

The bad thing about the frame is the paint. From a distance it looks good but up close you can see numerous scratches and whatever you do never turn this bike over in public! I don't know how it has got like it (perhaps an unpadded cycle carrier?) but the paint has been removed under the top tube and behind the headtube, the pump pin which was behind the headtube also appears to have vanished! It's all pictured so you know exactly what you're getting.

Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket

The groupset is Shimano 600 Ultegra 8 speed STI apart from a Stronglight Delta chainset. Everything is working fine and not in too bad condition apart from the tired STI shifters which have quite a bit of wear although still work fine.

Wheels are lovely and whilst in the stand would spin forever.

Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket

All in all a top quality bike which has seen better days, that said a respray and it'll be back again although like I said above it looks good from a distance (or in the dark)

I've probably made it sound worse than what it is in which case you maybe pleasantly surprised! If you can view it then all the better.

Pashley Princess - £250 *SOLD*

Photobucket

Very unusual bike for me to have! However its a quality used bike so still worthy of the Stallion treatment .

This a rather characterful Pashley Princess with rod brakes, Sturmey Archer 3 speed hub gears and of course a nice big wicker basket. Not sure on age, the hub is stamped 92-9 which dates it as 1992 I believe.

Has been partially stripped and cleaned. There were some speckles of rust which have all been removed some speckles (not rust) in the chrome remain as evidence that rust was once there, it looks fine just a slight imperfection upon inspection. The worst effected area was the front wheel but even that looks good. The only other part of the bike which is a little tatty is the rear mudguard which has paint chips and a dent.

I've played this down a bit, the bike actually looks really nice and the chrome looks good it's only upon close inspection that you can see it is not perfect.

I was a little concerned about the gears as the lever seemed a little stiff so I got a new one and it seems to work exactly the same so I guess it's just a quirk with the 3 speed SA gears (?). I can include the new shifter if you wish.

The frame is 20".

If there is anything I've missed feel free to ask.

I may consider posting although in all honesty am not too keen really, think it would have to go into two boxes because of the basket.

Saracen Sestriere - £250 *SOLD*

Photobucket

Good quality budget racing bike. This Saracen Sestriere features an Alloy 6061 frame with Carbon Fibre forks which equates to a nice ride with the carbon forks offering some comfort as well as weight saving.

Paint is very good apart from a couple of blemishes, namely behind the headtube there is some crazing, the Ergo cable routing has rubbed the paint on the side of the headtube and there was a frame fit pump attachment which has left some rub marks on the seat tube, none of these marks are significant. The left crank arm has some scrapes too. See photobucket pictures for close ups.

Groupset is mainly Campagnolo 9 speed Xenon which all works as it should, this is complemented with a Truvativ ISIS chainset and brand new Miche Performance brake set.

This will make a great bike for someone looking to get into road riding or as a winter trainer.

Condor Squadra - £600 *SOLD*

 Photobucket

A very nice Condor Squadra with an alloy frame enhanced with carbon stays and forks. At a glance it looks like NOS but look very hard and you'll see a few signs that it has actually been used, you will have to look hard though!

Size is 56cm x 54.5cm (ct x cc)

Paint is nigh on perfect with just the most minor blemish on the top tube, which if I did not mention you may not even notice anyway. Lots of nice Condor London graphics making it stand out from the crowd.

The groupset is Campagnolo Veloce 10 speed all in extremely good condition, as are the Campagnolo Vento wheels.

Not much else to add just a superb bike, in great condition at a very reasonable price.

Motobecane Equipe Pro - £375 *SOLD*

Photobucket

A very nice early 80's Motobecane Equipe Pro, which is a La Redoute team replica as ridden by Paul Sherwen.

Size is 58cm x 56.5cm (ct x cc)

It's a lovely classic with plenty of chrome (few spickles here and there but nothing too bad) and a beautiful petrol blue colour with just a few minor scratches none of which are note worthy. Graphics are generally very good although there are a few creases. Overall though it looks very good and for the age I'd say it is in extremely good condition.

The components are all European (apart from the Tange bb) and make for a very traditional feel to the bike it works great and is not too far off the original team spec. Frame and forks are Columbus tubing, very likely SL.

Included in the sale is a little La Redoute bag, cap, bottle and two brochures.
